The Hard Rock Cafe is a fun choice as you can listen to some awesome tunes while enjoying burgers, sandwiches, specialty entrees, and other tasty selections. You can even stick around until midnight, as the Hard Rock Cafe is hosting a New Year’s Eve party from 9 PM to midnight that is free to attend!
Some of the other fun dining options include Margaritaville and Downtown Flavortown in Pigeon Forge, as well as Ole Red and Loco Burro in Gatlinburg!
2. Catch a New Years’ Eve Show

You can also enjoy fireworks over at the Mountain Mile on Teaster Lane, where the NYE fireworks display blasts off at 10 PM after a full day of door prizes, live entertainment and family fun!
Gatlinburg NYE Fireworks
The Gatlinburg NYE Ball Drop & Fireworks is another exciting way to celebrate New Year’s Eve in the Smoky Mountains. This fun and free event takes place around the base of Gatlinburg’s 400-foot-tall Space Needle, which has been fitted with rhythmic LED lights to add to the display. When the fireworks blast off at midnight, they will be choreographed with special music designed especially for the show.
Insider Tip: Plan to arrive early to find a good parking spot! There is free parking available on River Road, which runs parallel to the Parkway. Other parking options include several independently owned parking lots with flat rate parking, or garage parking at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies Parking Garage and McMahan Parking Garage.
