Even though our condos are located in Pigeon Forge, they are just a short distance away from Gatlinburg and all its delicious restaurants. Read on to learn about 3 Gatlinburg restaurants you need to visit:

1. The Cherokee Grill and Steakhouse

The Cherokee Grill and Steakhouse has a great atmosphere because of its cozy mountain lodge feel. Its name pays homage to the Cherokee Indian tribe, who once called the Appalachian Mountains home. As for food, they have plenty of delicious dinner options, such as the Charbroiled Shrimp and Southern Fried Catfish. If you don’t prefer fish, get the Smoky Mountain Fried Chicken or Prosperity Pork Chop. Side dishes include Tennessee Blue Cheese Grits, Rice, and Broccoli. Adult guests can enjoy an alcoholic beverage with their meal. Order a glass of your favorite wine or try a microbrew crafted by the Smoky Mountain Brewery. Don’t forget dessert! All guests can choose from mouth-watering dishes like the Cheesecake or Fruit Cobbler.

2. The Peddler Steakhouse

the peddler steakhouseThe atmosphere of The Peddler Steakhouse is unique because of its rich history. When the building was constructed in 1958, it was the home of a Gatlinburg merchant named Charles “Earl” Ogle and his wife, Beth. It opened as a restaurant in 1976 and has retained a lot of the cabin’s original features. For example, the original stone chimney sits in the middle of the dining room. As you take in the gorgeous scenery inside and out, enjoy some great food. The entree options include Prime Rib, Grilled Shrimp, and Fresh Rainbow Trout. Each one is served with a side dish and bread. The fresh salad bar is included as well and is a big hit among guests. When you eat your main meal, make sure to leave room for dessert. You will have a lot of choices, some of which include the Hot Blackberry Cobbler and Peddler Mud Pie.

3. The Park Grill

The Park Grill is another one of the great Gatlinburg restaurants. It was opened in July 1995 by Geoffery Wolpert, who was also the manager of The Peddler Steakhouse. Visitors love The Park Grill because of its versatile atmosphere. The close proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park makes it great for people to get a bite to eat and regain their strength after a rewarding hike. On the other hand, the restaurant is a nice place for a sit-down meal as well. No matter what the occasion, you will eat delicious food. If you need some recommendations, order the Big Barnyard Burger. It is a 10-ounce patty piled high with pulled pork barbeque, cheese, bacon, and an egg. Sweeter options include the Black Bear Brownie Bash. It is a brownie sandwich with vanilla ice cream in the middle topped with hot fudge and whipped cream. There will be a party in your mouth!
