Historic Dive and Dine Event Planned Near Cherokee Lodge
Would you like to dive into history? Guests to the Smoky Mountains will have the opportunity to learn about the Titanic and dive into its history from expert John Joslyn this January. After an educational and exciting night learning about the shipwreck, Cherokee Lodge invites visitors to stay in their Pigeon Forge condos for a comfortable retreat in a convenient location.
As part of Wilderness Wildlife Week, the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge has added an event to this year’s itinerary that will have guests diving into the ship’s adventurous past. For $45.00 per person, this year’s Dive and Dine Excursion will include a delicious dinner, personal introduction to historian John Joslyn and an escorted tour of the museum in Pigeon Forge.
The event will take place on January 31 at 5:00pm, when Titanic explorer and historian John Joslyn will retell his Titanic experience and knowledge. As a co-leader of the first television show that took viewers to the wreck site, he took 33 dives and is now known as a pioneering expert on the Titanic. He will spend the evening taking guests back in time to the ship’s maiden voyage, iceberg wreck, loss and discovery.
