Start Your Engines for the 2014 Spring Rod Run

Twice a year, car enthusiasts make a pilgrimage to the Smoky Mountains where two of the largest car shows in the nation and their participants take over the area for nearly a week. Though there are exciting events planned all season, this is one of the largest not only all season, but all year long. From one end of the Smokies to the other, don’t be surprised to see shiny, souped up classics.

This year’s Pigeon Forge Spring Rod Run is scheduled from April 11-13, so anyone visiting during this weekend might see classic Ford, Chevy and GMC models taking a scenic drive or slowly cruising down the Parkway.

This event in Pigeon Forge is the ultimate car show. Anyone who loves classic cars, motorcycles and trucks can see a variety of rare and unique models. Throughout the week, guests arrive to take advantage of the attraction and restaurants before spending all weekend viewing vehicles and meeting other car enthusiasts.

Not only can car lovers see automobiles of all kinds, there are also workshops and vendors so that those attending can purchase new and used parts, all while learning more about the mechanical aspects of the auto world.
